Delivery appointment cancelled last minute?

    They called about 3 hours prior and said there were some 'electronics issue' the techs found and it needs a 'simple firmware upgrade'. The car was built in late July....

    Shouldn't a firmware upgrade take hours not days? They delayed me for 3-4 days with no confirmation it would be done by then. If it's a firmware upgrade how can they not know if it's done for 3-4 days?

    Does not feel right.

    Guess you'll just have to wait until monday and hope you hear from them in the morning. If not, call them.

    Same thing happen to me. I was told it failed the technical inspection. When pressed for clarification I was told that they updated the car with the latest firmware and it crashed the car. They thought the MCU chip was bad and that they had to order a new one. They ended up doing a full software reinstall and it solved the issue. My vin also disappeared during this time. Unfortuantly I still did not receive my vehicle as I rejected it due to paint defects.

    Hey guys update. So I called my delivery center to see if the car was fixed. They previously told me it was a firmware issue.

    They didn’t answer so I called my delivery specialists in Vegas and asked him. He said it needed paint correction.

    So the dealer lied? Disappointing

    Has anyone ever tried asking for compensation for the delay inconvenience, like free supercharging, etc??

    I tried to get a free die-cast model 3 but no dice as they ran out.
