Hi,

Does anyone have a good exhaustive checklist of the issues I should be looking out for when I pick up my (first) MY next week? I will be driving a long distance and really hoping that I get lucky with build quality.

Apologies as I'm sure this has been asked before -- I tried to use the search function but it has been misbehaving for me the last couple of weeks.

I am not planning on using a multi-page checklist when I pick up my car on Saturday. I've been on here long enough to know what the issues are and I think I can manage it without referring to a bunch of papers. ;-)

Check all lights, inside and out.
Check body panel alignment.
Check interior, including headliner, for fitment.
Slide front seats forward/back, up down.
Open/close all windows.
Open/close frunk, trunk hatch.
IMPORTANT: Have them confirm wheel lug nut torque: Mine were <70lb/ft, should be almost double that, 129 lb/ft.
Tires at 42psi.

From what I've researched, here's my checklist:

Panel gaps
Trim gaps/scratches
Tail light fitment
Headlight fitment
Door handles (check if they work)
Lift gate (open/close)
Frunk (open/close)
Wheels (check for scratches)
Lug nuts (check torque)
Tires (check PSI)
Charging cable
Backseat buttons (check if working)
Pillars (check fitment)
USB-C ports
Center console (check for scratches)
Screen (check for damage)
Front seat adjustments
Windows (up/down, check for damage)
Floor mats
Wireless charging
Headliner
Windshield (check for damage)
Steering wheel
Glove box (open/close)
Cameras (backup, side)
Sound system
Side mirrors (check if they fold)
Headlights (check all lights if working)
Tail lights (check all lights if working)
Wipers
Charging (check if it works)

I probably missed some so feel free to add more..

Check (temp) license plate screws installed and tight (I lost mine on the first highway trip!)
