Delivery date advice needed

I cannot find a discussion topic that addresses this question so sorry if it has been asked before. I have seen the delivery date checklists and have picked one to use for inspection. However, I am not clear what sort of defects or issues are worth rejecting and what are some issues that can easily be fixed in a service center visit? If a list or discussion topic is availale, I would be grateful to have it.

I know cars can have paint imperfections, panel gaps, scratches, dents, interior noises, etc. But which of these would be a good reason to reject the delivery?

Here we go again.
My suggestion is don't find the list. I hated it.
Just go to SC on delivery day, look around and inside, if you are happy, then take it home, your happiness will last.
Will you spend most your time to sit next to your car and stare for those imperfections? Sorry, but not my type.
100% this. Some people are so picky, and how much does it really matter?? I’m sure pretty much every other car manufacturer has these issues, too, but people don’t gripe over them. I’m also the type of person who doesn’t notice small imperfections unless I’m really really trying to look, so I’m sure I wouldn’t even notice.

If there’s anything majorly wrong, I’m sure it would stick out pretty obviously.

Every other car manufacturer doesn’t have these issues. Not to this degree. It’s peoples very hard earned money, they want what they deserve. If you guys don’t mind shoddy build quality then you do you. I have no problem rejecting a car with issues they can’t fix. only Tesla fanboys will give them a pass for crap like this.

From what I’ve seen and heard, Fremont quality has been really good lately (maybe not applicable to the EOQ rush, which isn’t an issue for me since I’m on the east cost). If there was something major enough that they couldn’t fix it, I’m sure it’s something I’d notice and if it was bad enough yeah I’d reject it. But, I’m not going to nitpick every little scuff or millimeter panel gap difference.

My in-laws have a Ford Mach E that has some panel gaps. My father in law notices them, but unless I’m looking for them I don’t notice them.

If you are not a fan boy, why the hell you even came here?

As someone who’s owned 3 teslas the list is stupid and a waste of time. If you happen to notice something after the fact tesla will fix it
Correct.

I had 3 issues, all were resolved. My on comment is they should have fixed before delivery. Why I have to bring it back to fix a huge interior trim gap, paint defect, and window regulator popping (loose wiring harness) is beyond me.

Besides that, love the car. 2k miles and no regrets.

Wow. Not a lot. Some people have return trips home longer than that.
Yeah I don’t remember the mileage and there might not actually be a mileage. But like tpham07 said, I think it’s within reason. I don’t think they’d turn you down if you have a couple hundred miles on it and you find something a few days after delivery.

To learn about the car or upgrades. Is there a rule that says this is only for fanboys? I cant tell if your post was serious or not, but if it is then yikes. You need some help. I like my model 3p but not a fanboy. I have no issues calling out the bad stuff.

This is the problem with society now. People latch on to random things because of toxic tribalism. You let something identify you and get insulted if someone goes against it. Its really sad. Tesla owners seem to be the most prevalent of this. I bet most dont have a spouse or kids and dont realize there are more important things in this world besides a car.
