Delivery date pushed out - may be out of town - what are my options?

I had my delivery date set for tomorrow (Monday). Texted to see if I can stop by dealership today to take a look at car - got response that car is not there yet and will be few days before it comes. I am leaving on long trip this Thu and won't be back till Jan 3rd. If delivery gets pushed past this Thu - will Tesla wait for me to be back or put me back into waiting line?

It’s very hard for the Delivery team, to allow people to see their vehicles before the delivery, even just hours or a day before. I won’t bore you with the reasons.

They will likely be aggressive to get the car into your hands before the end of the year. it would be unlikely for this to be an issue, but for the end of quarter, and end of year. my familiarity is not based in West Coast but it’s likely to be pretty close
