Delivery Delay?

So my account has been in "Drafting your contract" mode since late March when Tesla opening it up for most to put in their info. I elected to have a small loan via Tesla, no trade of a car. Insurance and full info was entered.

Fast forward nine weeks, and I'm still in the drafting contract phase. I haven't gotten any texts or phone calls. Just the one email blast like many received a week or two ago.

So Friday evening I reached out to Tesla finance asking them if my loan was still approved, could they extend, etc. They responded in a matter of minutes and informed me that my loan approval expired. They shared that I should sit tight and wait until I get contacted by a delivery specialist, at which time I can reapply for the loan.

So I'm wondering that since I don't technically have a go on the loan side if that is what's causing a delay in getting the Model Y? I ordered back in August, which I realize doesn't mean squat, but seeing others get their cars fulfilled with much later order dates has me wondering.

Problem is, I can't do anything in the system, there's no way to update any information on the financial side, all systems appear to be a go. Just wondering what, if anything, I can do here or just wait?

I think most people are in your same boat. Almost everyone got that same update to be able to enter all that info. Tesla typically delivers most of their vehicles in the last few weeks of the quarter which is coming up here. You may not see any updates until days before your delivery. Hold tight for now.

I suggest that you got to this thread and check out the model y delivery spreadsheet. Teslike Model Y Survey & Order Tracker Spreadsheet Of course, it only includes a subset of cars ordered. But you can get an idea of what types of MY are being built and where they are being delivered. I'm in the exact same boat as you and its difficult to be patient. But I'm betting that a lot of new deliveries will be scheduled within the next week or 2 for the end of quarter.
