Delivery delayed 4 times since December.

Ordered the refreshed Tesla S LR early April 2021. Received an end of August delivery date in the end of July. Beginning of August received a vin#. A few days later the vin# disappeared and was then given a mid September delivery date range. One week before the end of that delivery date range was given a mid to end of October date range. First week of October it was changed to mid to end of November. Now one week after that date change its already changed to mid to end of December. 4 delays for 5 months worth of delay.
Does anyone know if color orderd matters? I can understand a delay or 2 but 4 times to total 5 months? Anyone else have this many delays for this much time?

I've been waiting 9+ months now for my Model S. Seems to be a unicorn of sorts - LR, Red, Black interior, 21" Wheels, no FSD, Pre-Refresh order

I've never has a VIN, but count 17 EDD changes (since I started keeping track) after the mass apology email that I didn't get either.

I've ordered a Model Y in case the Model S never shows up. We'll see which one gets here first.

Gosh I guess I’m not alone. I sent an email to them asking what they know and of course no reply. Went down to the dealership to speak to them in person and they had no clue how long the delays would be, why they were delayed and If and when the car would ever be delivered. Red with cream interior by the way. Insane. How can you run an auto sales business like this. I know the demand is high but I can’t help but wonder how much business they lose because people give up waiting and buy something else.

Ummm, lots of people have been waiting since 2020 for their Model S. I've been waiting since January 2021. I was told February/March when I bought. Lots of people have been lied to. Also see the "Full Self Driving" situation. Coming soon!!!
