I found the delivery process frustrating and not very customer friendly. And then 4 hours after I took delivery the drivers side door stopped working. This was followed by the car telling me that I was not the authorized driver, which could only be corrected by the App.
I tried calling Tesla delivery only to get " we will get back to you in 24 hours". I gave up and made a service appointment for the next available slot: 6 days later. Pretty frustrated at this point.
BUT
When I got to the service center in San Rafael, they were more than helpful. They were in the process of getting me a loaner when the technician came in and said that the problem was a loose wire to the actuator and all was well with the car.
The service staff turned what was a "why did I but a Tesla ?" experience into a positive experience. There are issues with delivery and quality control, but overall I was OK with Tesla's responsiveness.
