Delivery moved UP a month

Does it seem odd that someone who orders on Aug 8 might get delivery September 30, when my order from ~June 15 is still scheduled for September 15? I'm not complaining, I'm just trying to work out the figures in my head. Unless they're doubling their production speed, I don't see how they could reasonably meet that kind of production increase. Unless there is merit to the shuffling things around to meet the end of quarter production. That's some pretty significant shuffling.

Sean, are you still set for 9/15?

It makes sense to me that they'd try to load up trucks so they're full, and that means sometimes cars would be produced out of order (in a different order than they were confirmed).

I was originally supposed to take delivery of my car on September 28th at the factory. My delivery specialist said that was the earliest possible because it was scheduled to roll off the line on the 26th. I was unable to travel that weekend, so I changed my delivery to Arizona, and suddenly my delivery date was September 26th. So it appears they moved me up in the production queue. My guess is they did it to fill up a truck coming this way.

I talked to my DS about 2 hours ago. He mentioned how it would start being built tomorrow. He was about to end the conversation when I jumped in and asked how they could build and ship to Texas in 5 days, and he admitted it would most likely be September 20 or 22. Frustrating that I had to drag it out of him, but excited to be going into build.

Where did you get this information from? If it's true then hypothetically a Georgia order is confirmed on 8/5 and an Oregon order for the same configuration as the Georgia order is confirmed on 8/20 -- the Oregon person might receive their car first even though they confirmed 15 days later?

I confirmed on 8/10 and have my delivery date is currently set to 9/24 in Seattle. I didn't order a P85 but just a regular 85. So yes this is the way it seems to be working. My car hasn't gone into production but I figure they have this week or early next week to do that and still make it in plenty of time (late next week might be pushing it).
