Delivery on “hold” - when to remove the hold to time it right?

I’m on vacation, returning mid next week. My temporary hold is set to expire on the day I return.

I could click “resume” earlier though… any suggestions? For example, resume the order a few days in advance, hoping I am assigned a VIN quickly, and then select a date a day or two after I return…

Just worried about sitting on my hands and losing another few weeks, which would make a planned family trip quite a bit harder without a car!
