Delivery Process in Canada

Hello Everyone,

A quick question regarding delivery process in Canada.

I placed an order for Model Y Performance on Feb 1. The delivery window keeps getting revised closer.
Yesterday it was Feb. 25, 2021 to March 17, 2021
Now today it shows Feb. 24, 2021 to March 16, 2021.

I don't see a VIN assigned on the order agreement.

My mother ordered a Model 3 in USA and got a txt message when VIN had left the factory etc.

Without a VIN assigned I don't understand how I could receive my new Y on Feb. 24? Unless the txt messages don't go out to Canadian buyers?

If anyone has experience to share that would great? Just curious.

I never got a text when my VIN was assigned, only to schedule my pickup date when they were ready.

I think delivery in Canada is just like in the US, but more polite

@jonathanp they did give you a range of dates so it only could be as early as Feb 24. Where are you in Canada? If you're here in the west, transport time should be pretty quick once built and shipped, though if you're further east it might be further into your date range.

I got an email scheduling my delivery date (also for a MYP) on March 1st. in that email my SA also included a VIN, that still doesn't show on my Tesla account profile. (Ottawa, ON). However when the SA scheduled the delivery appointment (including our agreed time) that shows in my Tesla account.

That’s a high VIN! You’ll have all the latest for sure being made yesterday and assigned the next day. Congrats.

So, thats 2 of you that ordered a MYP right before I did. So, that hopefully means mine is right behind yours...
And, I am in Alabama, so maybe it will get to me sooner also. haha...
