Delivery Question [how to get the car delivered vs pick up]

I released my order on July 6th 2021 and was 13 weeks delivery. When I spoke with my advisor she said not to worry car will not be ready for delivery until mid to late Sept. This is exactly what my wife wanted as this will be her car. We have a Lexus lease that will be up end of Sept. On the Tesla website it now shows the car to be ready for delivery Aug 4th to 24th, This would normally not be a problem except my wife will be going through neck surgery on July 19th and will not be able to sit in a car as passenger or drive until later in Sept. Is there some way Devon Penna. could deliver the car to her since we are only 12.9 miles away. She will not be able to come to Devon PA to finish her paperwork. Should I call Tesla financial for help since she will be leasing the car and has already been approved. Would appreciate some help please.

If that is the estimated delivery date it's going to bouce around for the next couple weeks and months, sometimes it changes only a few days and sometimes it changes a whole month (like mines did today). So I really wouldn't make any definite decisions based on that date right now. Someone can correct me but it seems like that date is more legit/correct once you have a Vin number and get delivery date options.

Looking at the waiting room threads, people seem to always be caught off guard about getting their VIN and scheduled delivery date.

Like, nobody ever posts "hey ya'll I've been watching my EDD for weeks. Ever since I put my order in April, the EDD has been consistently pointing at the second week of July for delivery. And you know what, I got my VIN on July 6 with scheduled pickup on July 9! Tesla's EDD is sooooo ccooooolll"

Instead the posts tend to be "lol wtf EDD is messed up ... whoa I got my VIN!!!"

Hello! New to the forum. I'm sure this site is full of questions exactly like this. Placed my order for an M3LR+ on May 25th. Was told delivery would be late June. The window listed in my order has since bounced wildly every day... Late June / Sometime in September.. early July / September.. late July / September. I emailed my SA; he pretended to be surprised. Not comforting.

I've factory ordered cars before, but it's never seemed so chaotic. Could just be the state of supply chains around the globe, but I really hope it's this month and not in the fall. Is there any way of knowing if it will arrive prior to September (when I'm going to be away from home for several weeks)?

OP, you will need to work with a delivery specialist to see if you can get the car delivered, and what, if any, that might cost. As for the delivery date moving around, thats normal, and discussion around delivery dates etc is in the waiting room threads.
