First...I feel like I did good. I got an electric car for ~$40k after rebates (hopefully), it doesn't have crappy range and it looks good. Fancy Japanese import cost for American assembled and engineered.

I was surprised to see my account prompting for credit information and trade in evaluation on Sunday (7/29). I did financing through Tesla and my account initially given US Bank for a $46,500 loan @ 72 months with no down at 3.55%. Two hours later it changed to financing through Wells Fargo for a $41,500 loan @ 72 months with no down at 3.65%. I quickly emailed Tesla Financing asking why my account had changed and they responded in about 20 minutes (on a Sunday at 8pm) saying that my initial offer with US Bank was valid and that I could use that offer, I just needed to provide my YTD Pay or W2 as proof of income. My account status reflected the selection of US Bank the next morning.

On Sunday I also did my over-text Trade-In Evaluation for my 2008 Mazda 3 Hatch (great little car, hated FWD). After submission the I received a text response confirming receipt and that I would receive an offer in 24 hours. Monday came and went, so I called support today. After a 30 minute wait Travis said that my car had actually received a trade in offer and I had a VIN assigned (my account page says trade in eval pending). I even had a ISA assigned! He attempted to transfer me to my ISA but it didn't go through. He said my ISA would contact me within 24-48 hours.

20 minutes later and Joseph calls (my ISA) saying all he needs is a picture of my Mazda title and I can come pick up the car in Fremont on Friday...whaaaaa...
PS: He offered to have it delivered to my apartment in mid August. I didn't ask if I had to pay extra, I should have though.

Some bummer news:
* Trade if offer was a low bid. At least $400 under my KBB, and nearly half of private resale. I know I could have CarMax'ed it but I'm lazy. It's not an incredible difference to me.
* Everyone has to pay a $975 Destination Fee and a $75 Documentation fee. I didn't get it delivered. "Something something laws transport laws legal jargon".

I follow up on Friday.
