I got the MVPA today and forwarded to Tech CU but not a link to electronically sign it?

When I received the email about it the subject line started with “Please sign Final DelyDocs” with a “Click here to review and sign” link in the message body. That opened up the PDF copy of the MVPA. I scrolled down to page 5 of the document and that’s where it lets you sign electronically. Once you sign it will then get forwarded to Tesla for their signature. It’s possible you may have forwarded an unsigned copy to your credit union.

I electronically signed two days ago and have not received the executed MVPA with the VIN on it which the credit says must be included. How long have others waited for the updated MVPA?

mine was just an email with a PDF attached, no links

This is the final MVPA with the VIN, mileage, etc on it too...

At least through my Tesla account when submitting my down payment the only option I had was to use ACH electronic transfer to transfer the money from either a checking or savings account. There was no credit card option and I doubt there will be one. Tesla doesn’t want to pay the credit card processing fees, especially if you’re putting a very sizable down payment. Say you put down $35K and there’s a 2% credit card transaction fee on Tesla’s end. That’s $700 in lost profit for them.

While I agree that Tesla doesn't want to pay the card processing fees, they wouldn't pay 2% on a $35k charge. The card industry charges significantly reduced fees for higher value transactions -- usually those over $7.5k are eligible for the reduced fee. But its still around 1%...

I would much rather be in the situation of having my delivery scheduled and not having to pay yet. I have the opposite issue. I signed the delivery contract and paid about $31K via the link in my account (financing the other $30ish). Now there are zero updates about the status of my car or a delivery date. ISA still working with me, says my car came out of production last Sunday, VIN assigned.

I’ve emailed with him every day this week and he gives me the line, “unfortunately I don’t have any more info for you.” Very frustrated considering I’ve now given them a substantial amount of money. Advice?

How many days ago did you do this? I believe it takes 3 days for them to withdraw the funds. Do you see that the funds have been withdrawn from your account?

I'm not to your situation yet and am really curious what happens. Do you know if they have gotten $ from your lender yet? I'd expect the loan to be funded on the day of delivery but it is not 100% clear.

I was planning on paying electronically to help move things along more quickly but that doesn't appear to be happening and am now considering picking up a certified check the day before actual delivery.

Paid via echeck through my checking account, so the funds withdrew immediately. As for the lender, no, they haven’t requested or told me any specifics about delivery or when I deliver the check from the financing.

Theoretically, I could say, Tesla, I will cover your fees on the car. That $35k charge would cost them $350, but I would gain $787.50 in travel.

They COULD do it, just tell you what they'd charge, but it seems like the industry isn't ready for it.

What options did they give you to wire the money?

Page 7 of my Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement has an entire page about how to do the final payment. You can either do an ACH transfer directly from your Tesla account or wire the money. The bank name, account and routing numbers for wiring money to Tesla are all listed on this page. It says to include your name and order number in the notes when doing a wire transfer.

How long after you electronically signed did you get the agreement emailed to you?

For me I was emailed the signed (by myself and Tesla) MVPA about 2-3 hours after signing through the echosign link.

In addition to the signed MVPA there was another PDF attachment that showed the whole audit process for the electronic signature. Showed who the document was sent to and when and also when the signatures were taken care of and the IP address of the computer that was used to sign them.

I left a message and sent an email to my ISA and Delivery Specialist since I eSigned last Thursday around 6pm and don't have my updated agreement yet. Checked my spam account too.
