could it be coz some safety issue?
Think you are having better luck with your DS than mine. I don't get a lot of responses other than the standard ones when documents are due etc...
spoke to a few owners and they say it could be anything betw 4 to 8 weeks from transit to pick up..so seems in line.

I was expecting something like Mid-Feb...

When my DS called me a few weeks ago, she hinted that it was at least after CNY, I was hoping for mid to end of Feb.

Also I think when we get our cars, ( I am in for a group delivery) we can help each other spot any possible manufacturing flaws and imperfection before signed off any paper, also sticking together may help give us strength to get Tesla sort out any problem ASAP, as we don't know when the second service centre will be operational to help easy the workload.

I second your suggestion for Group delivery! My DS is Carmen, who's the DS for you guys?

I think my DS is also Carmen. She only asked me for some documents sent to her. That is all. Not advice of approximately when my MS will arrive.

Wait till you read through this thread "How was your "Delivery Specialist" and car collection experience?" to make the above comment!

Ms C (My DS) has replied my email with the following information, which I think you guys might as well be interested.
1. Delivery of our car is going to be March 2016.
2. ChaDeMo adaptor is no longer being sale until further notice. I am trying to get the reason why.

Tesla is saying that a 32A cable has already come with the car, there are superchargers and you can have a 13A cable so they do not recommend ChaDeMo charging any more.

can do a comparison of the DS on collection day then!! mine is Justin. would a group pick up on the same day confused them to much...???!! (given some of the comments of the service (of the lack of) in these forums!

Oh didn't know we get a 32A cable....

Will do the pick up one at a time. So when one car is being picked up by the owner, the owner will attend to the DS's explanation while the other owners can "examine" the car. Then do the same for the owners in turn. I think there are only 4 owners whose delivery dates are close to each other.

For the cable, should I say "a cable already comes with the car"? I don't know if it is a 32A. Those MS owners who have collected their car can advise and confirm understanding.

They "deliver" 3-4 cars at the same moment (Tsuen Wan), each with its own DS team, so it might be quite tricky to do what you are planning.

Each delivery session takes about 1 hour, assuming there is no issues with the car that need immediate attention.

It is just a suggestion. We may fix the group size to 2 - while one attending to the DS, the other helps examine the car as if it is his/her own MS. I have a checklist for things to do this even if I collect the car myself. As said, my DS is Carmen (just talked to her before lunch today to go through the steps for signing the final invoice, arranging financing and settling the down payment). As long as the other MS owner whose DS is Carmen, we can arrange the car to be picked up one after the other so as to help each other out. I think I will take a day off on the BIG day.

Received an email from Carmen and talked to her over the phone just before lunch. Seems that she is quite patient and professional in explaining the steps to follow before car delivery and the arrangement of signing of the final invoice, financing with ORIX, lining up insurance, and making the down payment. While I have told her back in December 15 that I would like to get insurance quotation from its insurance partner (AXA), she only knew when we talked that AXA did not contact me. She said she would follow up with AXA. Speaking of insurance, Kwiksure quoted me (Liberty as the insurer) with a more competitive premium. Excess amounts are a bit better except for young and inexperienced drivers which should not affect me.

Carmen estimated that I should be able to collect my MS in early March, if not end of February.

I guess she is better with phone call? I tried to call her as well, she never picked up my phone...and I email her yesterday, but no answer from her yet as well....lucky you!

Just leave her a message saying you have booked a table at a high class hotel and wanted to see if she was free for dinner to go over things.
I bet you will get a reply if sone sort

Joking aside, I only had a brief chat with her cause by the time she contacted me all my docs and finance was sorted.
She asked if they can send me the final invoice to sign and ask me to make final payment.
so I didn't find it anything special, just normal follow up experience for me so far.

oh i am around the same stage too....
was also told that the car (should be "our cars") are on the vessel and expected shipment date is mid feb with a tentative collection date of late Feb. Subject to the usual custom clearance, potential shipment delays etc...
yes, sorted out all the paperwork...so agree with the "normal" experience, but to be honest, i know that MB, BMW, Lexus etc all offers better service but most of us will end up shopping for insurance, finance to compare prices anyway...so the work we do is not much more than buying other cars..but of x, a personal touch can go a long way.

anyway, it seems that there're now 3 to 4 of us left continuing with this thread..others can join if they are on similar schedule, so was wondering if we should either set up using our own e mails or what app group?

Ms C said mine would only be available early Mar if not late Feb, also subject to custom clearance, etc. I can only sort out financing after the CNY as I will not have time to do it during week days before that. Waiting for a couple of insurance quotes to finalize price comparison. Wait for the documents from Tesla for signing and make remaining payment. Well, I bought MB and BMW, I did not have to do so much shopping for insurance. For financing, yes, I did more for MB and BMW. For Tesla, no choice as I want the Resale Value Guarantee offer.

I am fine with setting up our own WhatsApp group. PM me your real name (and your TMC name) and phone number for chat group setup.

I am also waiting for mine to be delivered in late March. And I would like to be shared with some insurance information.

Please bear in mind not to accept exchanging the wall connector for a 13A cable if you want to take the Resale Value Guarantee offer because you will need to return it together with the car to get full refund. Not sure what Tesla will do if it cannot be returned with the car after 36 months. I think a wall connector is more expensive than a 13A cable.

Sent you a PM regarding insurance.

I don't aware the wall connector have any role in the RGV programme, is it advised officially?

I was advised to keep the wall connector (or even the cable that comes with the car) even if I don't install it as I will need to return it to Tesla when I re-sell to it my MS. That makes sense. If the buyer of your MS can install a wall connector at home, he/she will need to get it from you because Tesla may not entertain the sale of only a wall connector to someone who is not a customer in its database. Therefore it is logical to return the wall connector to Tesla with the car.
