So I called today because of 07/12 delivery date disappeared and they said it was because our orders have now moved to early November and the system is trying to give us a new date, my EDD disappeared on Friday.

I just put the order in for a 7 seater Model Y. I forgot to use the referral link. Has anyone been in that situation and has been able to get it applied afterwards so both parties can get the referral credits?

I think those were examples that Elon could come up with off the top of his head. But it makes sense. Tesla reported they were able to skirt the chip shortage through the use of micro controllers (airbag, seatbelt, window modulators, etc) but it sounds like sometimes even those are hard to find and when they find a new supplier it takes time to write new firmware and verify it.
