Delivery update from order on Oct. 1

I'm not remotely concerned about getting my car by then. I am slightly concerned that they will be pushing them out so fast that the car might not meet Telsa's legendary delivery quality experience. (and yes, that bar is set pretty low)

Yeah, thats another worry. Im over 80 miles from my service center so small issues and fixes will be inconvenient for me to bring in to be fixed. I just want to take advantage of the tax credit by taking delivery in 2017. The credit may be eliminated sooner than later....

I ordered a model S75D ordered on October 27, confirmed on October 30. I too was worried about delivery this year since my account lists delivery as lat January early February. I emailed my DS and he stated that the car is expected to start production in early Dec with a plan for delivery in late Dec. I think I will wait another week and email my DS again to see if there are any updates. Waiting Sucks!!

After our late evening Oct 31 order, our 3 day seasoning ended and our deposit went hard overnight and the website for us says:
  • Estimated Delivery Range: January, 2018 - Early February, 2018
We haven't had any conversations with our Delivery Specialist yet.

I bet you get before 12/31. Plenty of 3rd quarter 9/1 orders delivered before 10/1. Can’t go by the my tesla guesstimate

Im right there with you, order confirmed on Oct 29th.... Still listing my delivery range as Jan-Feb 2018. Do you have a VIN assigned yet?

I ordered 75D Sept 22, confirmed September 26, and vin shortly thereafter. When I ordered, the website said later November delivery. Shortly after, it updated to late Dec or early January. Today I heard from my DS that the car is due to reach the dealership on Dec 18th. Website has not updated off of “scheduled for production”.

I’m in Ontario.

Waiting sucks!

Thanks for the update! I ordered that same time! I really would love to have it before the holidays

Other than the tax credit, I'm happy enough getting it later, as that increases my chances of getting any crazy cool physical updates that are in the pipeline. Having said that.. I got a VIN a couple of nights ago, so things seem to be moving forward in a minor way, anyway.

Ordered Sept 30. Confirmed Oct.

Has ALWAYS showed Late Nov / early Dec - the DS told me yesterday to expect it first or second week of December for delivery.

Nice little Christmas present -

I order 4 days after you. The DS mentioned today that the vehicule was in "pre production" and should be assembled soon. Expected delivery still around Christmas. But then I'm on the East coast so transit probably adds 2 weeks easily.

I'm having the same experience. Listing "Jan - early Feb 2018," but DS says he's confident it will be delivered in December. Really, really hope he's right if the tax credit is repealed.
Just updated today with a VIN and listing changed to "December - early January." At least it's moving in the right direction. Is getting the VIN a more meaningful benchmark from which I can estimate a more accurate delivery date?

I just got assigned a VIN last night about 9pm eastern time and my delivery range reads the same - December to early January 2018... Sounds like we will both be cutting it very close to getting pushed into 2018, probably come down to shipping times and we are both east coast.

From what I have read, production usually starts between 3-6 weeks after VIN assigned. Someone may correct me on this with the most current info...
