Demo Delivery Question

Last night I ordered a demo M3 LR that's currently at the Kansas City service center. The first step on the order page was putting in my zip code to calculate any delivery fees. After putting that info in, it said there were no delivery fees to deliver to my zip code. However, today my order page still shows pick-up at the Tesla service center where the car is currently located.

Anyone have experience with this? Delivery specialists aren't available until tomorrow and I'm a little anxious that they won't deliver the car to my local service center.

If it’s anything like the U.K., demo vehicles have quite recently switched to being pick-up from their current location only. So you may have no delivery fee because you’re expected to go to pick it up.
You were not wrong. I knew it would be difficult to get someone on the phone so I intentionally withheld my payment information and waited for someone to call me. That worked. When they called the SA confirmed that the pick-up was set for the Kansas City service center. I asked to have it moved to my local service center and they were able to work that out.

Had I confirmed my delivery and submitted payment I would likely have been stuck with a trip to Kansas City and a long drive home. What's interesting is that I'd looked at several other demo vehicles and every time it asked me for a zip code for delivery it would spit out the associated delivery fee. That didn't happen on the one I purchased for some reason. Oh well.

That IS odd. I purchased a demo last month from St. Louis and once I put in my zip code and it automatically calculated the delivery fee to ship the car to Nashville and I had to confirm I was willing to pay it. I’m not sure there was even an option to pick it up in St. Louis if I wanted to. I wonder what was different between that car and the other ones you looked at.
