demonstrator models having excessive outside noise penetration?

I've seen warnings to caution people to not use the emergency manual door opening handle.
could it be that people taking test drives have used this emergency manual door opening handle and therefore damaged the door window seals?
Is there a way to check for this damage before my test drive?

I've also read that there was a software fix to prevent this problem. Anyone know when this was happened?

@RidgeRunner have you actually been on a test drive and found excessive outside noise penetration and you're wondering if this could be the source? Or you have one coming up and you're worried there will be excessive outside noise penetration?

I think the only damage you could do would be to shatter the window, and that would be fairly obvious.....
