It appears the future is now! I continue to say that convenience stores will get onboard because they make their real money on the stuff inside the store, not the energy sold outside.

I love it! Now put EV charging as pull through and under canopy like gasoline pumps, and we have a winner. 50kW is fast enough to get relax, get coffee, buy some stale croissant or a thin slice of cheesecake for $7, read a book, lounge for a while, then back on the road.

What a great idea! I've seen some gas stations here with chargers, but advertising the price like that has the added bonus of illustrating the cost differences between gas and electricity.

I would prioritize charging spots with canopies or covers, pull in spots and tables/coffee shops over Tesla superchargers. Gladly pay more per kwh for those amenities.

This is great to see! But what immediately struck me was the units the kWh price is displayed in: $0.15 9/10.

For my entire driving life I have felt it absurd how gas prices are advertised in tenths. And now we are going to perpetuate that silliness with kWh prices at gas stations?

Understand you view but I give them credit for playing off the gas price model so the comparison is clear. Plus making it green vs red. Well played.

In Kansas, they recently tried to tax public EV charging, even when it was free and even though we already pay a higher registration fee to make up for the loss of fuel excise tax…. Kansas - Proposal to Double Tax EVs

Well, Iowa has a tax on charging of 2.6c/kWh when not charging at a residence.

But governments are not focusing on taxing home charging. They're essentially trying to decide between fixed and per mile pricing.
