I recently purchased a new home, something that wasn't on my radar when I put down my initial reservation deposit in 2016. I have been bombarded with emails and calls from Tesla representatives trying to get me into a Model 3, at least for a test drive. I have no doubt I'd love the car, but a new car is just not in the budget at the moment. I might be interested in a Model Y or pickup at some future date. When I asked the representative if my $1,000 could be applied to a future model, he said no, but wondering if any of you have been able to apply the money to another/different model. Thanks.
