My brother operates a B&B in a remote VT area, he had applied for the Destination Charging program, after hearing from other innkeepers that got the equipment (and install?) paid for.
He just heard back- 'be happy to add you to the web site', but he would have to pay for everything. He said no thanks, he'd just up in a J1772. I told him that would open the door for other EVs, and he wouldn't risk a non-guest with a Tesla showing up and wanting to charge for two hours.
But be aware, the number of new DC's will be slowing because of this policy change. Guess it's related to the cash crunch.
