Yeah, but that's the point of Netflix spending money and producing it - it will get people to subscribe to their service. Costs a lot of money to do what they are going to make.

I tend to agree that no matter how much spin and donation tie-ins you add, this is still just about rich people (and select guests) going to space/depth of the oceans/Everest/<insert location access money can buy> because they can. Nothing wrong with that, happens all the time.

As a bonus the R&D and money being expended to help rich people go into space is also helping fund the development of cheaper transportation into space so the less rich can participate, and repeat as costs come down.
