My higher mileage April 2015 Model S is having issues and I'd like to know what options I have to at least attempt to diagnose the problems myself. I understand where the FakraHSD and CAN Bus ports are and how to get to them. With the HSD I believe you need to access Tesla Toolbox software which is expensive at $333 a month. Any other options for that setup of hardware with a laptop. What about the CAN Bus port? What hardware is ideal to use with that and what diagnostic data will it show compared to the HSD with the Toolbox?
