It had manufacturer plates, and may have been in Obsidian Black.
This was at the San Mateo Supercharger yesterday end of afternoon. It might just be a standard 3 that they stuck the 20-inch package on.

No red brake calipers = not a performance model.

Check out the brake rotors -- they have teeth. Just seems to be missing the red-painted calipers.

I don't see carbon fiber spoiler. Wheels are 20" though.

Are Michelins the 20" tires and not Contis?

The configurator claims "Michelin Pilot Sport 4S". That's what those are (235/35/ZR20 in the photo).

Yep. This is absolutely a P model. Very large brake rotors up front.

Also has to be a relatively new build if it's Obsidian Black.

Larger "teethed" rotors and larger black calipers (all current Model 3's have silver calipers) most likely confirms it.

Looks like this is one without the "performance package", but interestingly enough might confirm that all performance models get upgraded brakes, and the $5000 option really does only change the color to red.

It's more in line with what was originally announced on May 19th. Red calipers were announced later. It does appear to be missing the spoiler, but that might be on purpose, or might have also been another later decision.

Since I assume this is some sort of engineering mule, I'm definitely not surprised by the lack of stick-on spoiler, or red paint on the calipers.

I did not know to look for "teethed" hubs on the rotors.

Yeah, with the Tesla employee in the car, I was not going to check the VIN.

(Although, he surprisingly [to me] left the car with the Supercharger attendant for a few minutes, saying "Don't let anyone touch it" as he walked away.)

I think it was, but I am no expert, I drive red.
It was pretty shiny, and was showing lots of bug splatter and dirt.

Well, the rotors have "teeth" on them, just like the performance car the Elon tweeted... so they're probably the upgraded performance brakes. Interestingly, calipers aren't red and it looks like there is plenty of room in those 20" wheels. It's hard to tell without a photo taken perpendicular to the front wheel face, but the photo makes me skeptical of the claims that the 20" wheels are necessary to fit over the brakes.

Probably to be able to mount wheel sensors for data collection.

It probably goes without saying, but it's definitely AWD at least. You can tell by the axel nut in the center of the front wheel.
