Did my ecohitch bend my frame?

I’d pull the bumper off and look at it. I installed my EcoHitch myself…wasn’t too bad. If you don’t want to do that then take it back to the shop.

That’s up to you and depends what you want to do with it from here. Replace it? Just stop using it?

If A: do it yourself or take to a shop. If B: do nothing.

Since it’s an eco hitch you probably still have your factory crash bar installed. So at least you won’t have to replace that too.

Yeah unfortunately do nothing and stop using it isn't an option because of the cut-out on the bottom, and the fact that the stealth cover doesn't lay flush. Seems like I'll have to take it to the shop (which is, unfortunately, ~2 hrs away).

Any update? What happened? Did it bend the frame? Or just the hitch? Or the hitch bolts were coming out? Poor install? Would like to know before i try overloading my vertical/carrier weight...

The pic of the 2" square shows deformation. The bike rack has a built-in base pivot point which means the weight was far away from the square so the hitch acted like a pry bar to open up 2" to probably 2-1/8" or more. So the shorter the rack base the better.

As others have stated, way too far out, and too much leverage. That will greatly increase the tongue weight.
