These forced updates seem to have started after the 2019.16 fire hazard hotfix downgrades. Tesla seems to be taking the risk of fire half seriously - seriously enough to take action, but not seriously enough to notify us or teh NHTSA.

@am_dmd That's all I know. I am not a hacker, but one shared the possibility of custom firmwares being used to return our downgraded cars back to 85 capacity and full horsepower.
