I think they are correct. The wheels are all the same so left side of the car will have one look and the right the other look. It isn't noticeable as you can only see one side at a time...but I understand your concern. That's the price you pay for an asymmetrical design vs symmetrical designs that look the same on all four corners.
 
The Model 3 with chrome and silver wheels looks much nicer than the new version with black chrome and black wheels.
I couldn't agree with you more. I have a blue 2020 M3 with the 19 inch "chrome" wheels and all "chrome" trim. It looks great. I've never liked black trim on any car, but blue with black trim and black wheels is just, well, black and blue. It looks like a rolling bruise! I may not buy another Tesla unless they give us chrome trim as an option.
