Did you collect from Birmingham on Monday??

Hi everyone..

so supposed to be collection day today.. I turn up at the scheduled time, give them my details and then a puzzled look comes over the guys face.. he then tells me I'm not booked in today, I show him my delivery text message and the vin, rn number and reg given to me by my leasing company.

after a while he comes back and says that the car was unmatched yesterday (Monday) and it was due to the lease not being approved?!

I call my lease company they confirm that all details are correct their end, they've forwarded everything to Tesla and had confirmations back. And had no contact from Tesla about the car being unmatched

I then get told by Tesla that they tried to get in touch with the leasing company on Monday 3 times to seek lease approval but couldn't get in touch and so unmatched the car.

it turns out the car was then sold same day to someone else..

I would love to speak to the person that got that car and find out what your experience was, did you have an insta match? Were you always matched and they matched us both to the same car??

If you collected a midnight sliver model 3, with Aeros and black interior from Birmingham yesterday (Monday 28th September) and your reg ends XNO please get in touch with me so we can swap stories..

sorry if I've broken any forum rules I'd just love to know what actually happened as both Tesla and the leasing company are blaming each other

Who are you leasing with?

For what it's worth, the company my car is leased with have performed very poorly, and every time we challenge them, they blame tesla 'because they do things differently'. The excuse is wearing thin, to be honest.

The sad fact is tomorrow is the last day of the quarter. There is nothing matching your spec in inventory so unless you are prepared to change spec you may well be waiting now until mid to late November. There are unusually no ships during the first month of the quarter. :(

Having collected my 2021 refresh m3 on Thursday, and having to take it to the service Center this morning due to a camera issue.. I was surprised to see the car I was originally supposed to pick up at the end of September pull up and going in for the same fault. (Passenger front camera not working) .. hoping to catch the guy later when I go to pick up and discuss what his experience was as we both got matched to the same car.. I now also can confirm that Tesla were the ones at fault because the original car has the sport wheels which doesn't match my spec.

If you own a MSM M3 and you reg ends XNO, and you took it to the digBeth service Center this morning I would really appreciate a chat with you.

IIRC there were quite a few Q3 owners that had problems with the side cameras too. Wonder if there was a manufacturing fault.

Also, how did you get your service appointment so quick? I have a month to my next one. Have I missed a trick?

Yeah TBF, i would have been Royally pee'd off if i had taken the old model as the refresh was announced 2 days later!!, I'm more than happy with the refresh it is brill, and the MSM with the Black external trim looks far better than the chrome version in my opinion... I was going to take the Aeros off the old one, but i love the look of the new aeros.

I am still anoyed at the mix up and have a ongoing call with my leasing company about whos fault.. we now know it was tesla's so that may escalate..

In regards to the SC appointment, i only live 10 miles from the birmingham SC, and logged the fault within an hour on thursday of getting the car, so maybe i fell lucky.
