your thinking about if you are hauling gravel. Insurance company's cant go after the car that flings rocks gravel salt rock etc unless they are hauling it. unless you can prove they intentionally did it.

the whole point in this thread not sure if you read the main post(just like reading the installation guidelines on the mud flaps) we are talking about people installing the mudflaps incorrectly by installing them in the back wheels
There's no way the rear mud flaps are supposed to be installed in front of the rear wheel. That would make no sense as gravel kicks to the rear, not the front of the tire. Any Model Y mud flap product you find on Amazon clearly shows pictures of the rear mud flaps installed behind the rear tires, not in front of them. Point of the rear mud flaps is to prevent gravel from kicking up and damaging the paint directly behind the rear tires and vehicles traveling behind.

That's what I thought too, but if you look at threads here, there are folks convinced the rear mud flaps don't fit until they realize they have been trying to install them on the front of the rear wheel lol

the point in this thread is for the tesla mud flaps that people install incorrectly by installing them in the back instead of the front wheels.
