No I still have it Yes I wanted more options in my model s No I still have it becuase the model s doesn't have that much more range than my gas car Yes it was a piece of rolling crap
10 months after buying an S (which replaced a Prius) I sold my Porsche to buy a Roadster and was then 100% electric. Going 100 Percent Electric | Tesla Motors
Not me if I would have sold my Audi s8 I would have gotten more options in my S - - - Updated - - - sorry
Where's the "A car in the stable was totaled and the previous car replaced it" option? That's kind of like trading it in because you got insurance money.
For me, it's replacing a gas car that I really enjoyed for 12 years, but it's a 12 year old car and it's time to move on. (2004 Mustang Convertible, bought brand new in 2003.) I don't consider it a piece of crap by any means - it served me very well and held out long enough (with surprisingly few problems after warranty) for me to save up enough for a MS!
We went from: 2012 Nissan Leaf, 01 Honda Odyssey, 96 Toyota 4Runner to: 2014 Model S, 2013 Fiat 500 Abarth The old ICE cars were due, but we really like the small size of the Fiat. Much easier for the tight parking spots in Seattle. Much better gas mileage too. The S is the big long distance car now.
