Did your Model 3 come with the rear license plate frame?

+1. I also ordered the $40 frame ahead of time. I may keep it and use it on the front, depending on what the front plate holder looks like.

Something else I noticed, is the plastic chrome screw covers on mine tend to pop off when closing the trunk. Got to see if there’s a way to make them fit tighter...

Having just received the license plate to install, I found a couple of issues with the (delivery center's?) installation of this plate frame:

1) When they attached the frame, they used all four screws: BUT, they over-tightened one of the screws such that the "molly" in the body of the car it screws into turns, and thus you can neither tighten or loosen the (not completely tight) screw from the molly... While I might be able to wedge a pick or something in between the screwhead/frame bracket and the molly to try and keep the molly from spinning while I unscrew it, I didn't create this issue, and I'm not about to take responsibility for scratching the paint trying to fix it on a 2.5 week old $55K car...

2) As noted by fseir, the chrome screw covers (which they only included two of on the upper screws because the "Zero Emissions" temporary "plate" covers the bottom screws even though the bottom screws will be exposed with a regular license plate installed) will not stay on if I even LOOK at them cross-eyed (I'm honestly surprised they stayed on the 2.5 weeks I've had the car).

So, I'll guess I'll have to take it either back to the delivery center or to the service center to have them fix the molly, and install the license plate, in it's frame, with four screws w/caps that hopefully will stay on and be removable/reinstallable over time as I like to remove the plate occasionally when detailing the car to clean behind it.

Mine only came with the two top screws. Both have been overtightened and I am unable to remove them gracefully. Ijust got my updated registration in the mail today so I was excited to swap the temp tag with my own but I'll have to call the service center on Monday to see what they can do.

So I bought several accessories for my Model 3 before I took delivery on Thursday. One of the items I bought is the Model 3 license plate frame: Model 3 License Plate Frame

When I took delivery I noticed them attaching this very same frame to my car with my temp tag in the back. They told me they were putting them on all of the new Model 3’s. Hopefully I can just return the one I bought from the online store to my local Tesla location. Just wanted to see if others also received the frame for free when taking delivery. If you haven’t taken delivery yet and were considering ordering the frame I would hold off.
Yes, mine had rear license plate frame when I took delivery, yesterday, in Kansas City.

The rear is a frame. Chrome finish with Model 3 at the bottom, nice look. Four screw holes. Same as shown in link to Tesla Shop for Model 3.

The front is a black molded plate holder. No screws but strong adhesive. The holder is contoured to match the front bumper. The front plate gets screwed into the holder. I’ll be using it but don’t want to use the adhesive so am waiting for my car’s PPF to be applied. The detailer will mount it, then they’ll do the Ceramic Pro around it (adhesive won’t hold to surface with coating). Some people are selling pre-cut PPF film the size of the plate holder for those not getting their car filmed but don’t want the adhesive directly on the car’s paint. Then there’s the no-drill front license plate solutions. Just be careful not to cover the grill...airway used for battery cooling.

BTW picking up in California we get these red and clear right front windshield temp license stickers on cars delivered here. The front license plate holder and rear chrome Model 3 frame were in our trunk area upon delivery along with the Mobile Charging bag (the tow hook is in your frunk under the frunk carpet).

I bought the WeatherTech license plate plastic covers with back and chrome rim for front and back plates. I hate to wash all that grime from my plates and from prior experience these don’t yellow out as the cheap stuff you buy at Target or AutoZone. I had them on my last 3 cars and I would buy them again. This time I had to redrill state plates and 2 holes on same side of the plate cover to make them work. Basically I just expanded both holes by about 2 or 3 mm to make them fit. It came out wonderful. Don’t need to be perfect since both holes will get covered up anyway. 4 extra long stainless steel screws came in with the package to fit these mounting holes. I wasn’t sure if I should try to drill this cover and risk wasting it, but in the end I decided to go for it. The most I had to lose was $29.99 that I paid for one of them on Amazon. Free shipping unlike the WeatherTech site. It feels very secure and no rattle at all. So far it has proved to be a good decision even with the extra work around to make it fit. All 4 screws worked better than I imagined. Carwash safe too.

Exactly how my car was. Took me a while to get the screw out. Another strike on my Model 3 experience.
