Diecast Model Y?

I’m sure this has been asked a few times since the release of the model Y but is there a diecast of the car? I know Tessa doesn’t make one but maybe there’s a third-party out there that does that somebody knows of would love to have a miniature version of my car.

No, I'm with you on the missing details there. The door trim update goes back two full years if you include the Chinese versions. I don't know how this passed the marketing team.

The 1:18 die cast model does not come with front mud flaps.

The turn signal housing / charge port door on the model is aligned better than on the actual Performance Model Y. Does the charge port door open?

The diecast model does not have a tow hitch. Tesla could sell a teardrop trailer if the diecast model had a tow hitch.

Needs a scale size Supercharger station.

It's a cargo cover, not a package shelf or storage shelf. It was never intended to be strong enough to shelf items on top of it. It's sole purpose is to hide things visually and from the Sun, that are in the trunk below it.

The Tesla cargo cover can support the weight of a small parcel/package. It can be used as a package shelf.

It wasn't designed to support packages and I certainly wouldn't put anything on it. If it breaks then I'm sure it's expensive to replace, not to mention that it's a cloth material and can get scratched/torn/dirty.

$85 now? (and it almost isn't worth that, btw). But keeping true to this thread, if the big one is $85, then a 1:18 version of the parcel covering shelf, doing the maths, should only cost $4.18.

Whoah! My maths were way off above. If a Model Y is $48,990 and the model is $195, then you would multiply the real shelf ($85) times 0.0039804 for a price of 34 cents, if it was a real thing, which it is not. Not that any of this matters. I just wanted to correct an error on my part.

The model is a Performance though, so $52,490 or $0.32 for the shelf.

It's a great little model. I can't believe the nitpicking.

The nitpicking is because a model is supposed to be an exact replica and when it has blaring mistakes, like the two front end tow hook covers, it lessens the authenticity and value. It's not like it's difficult to make it exactly as the car really is.
