Chrome delete (better look), different wheel covers on 18” wheels, no homelink garage opener, auto dimming mirrors? Double panel windows (or are these in Y only?) new interior door panel styling
Chrome delete being a better look is a matter of opinion. IMO, I believe the chrome delete makes the car look drab. The blacked out matte look is old and played out, it's been going on since the mid 90s and looks it. Gloss black, polished chrome, bright chrome, doesn't matter anything is better than matte black which is boring.

IMHO only white is the good color for it. Love the contrast, I blacked out badges, spoiler, license plate frame, and fog/turn lights, soon getting matte black mudflaps with my 18/25 spacers and Aeros with OEM center caps replacing the fugly 18-wheeler fuel economy hubcap lookalikes.

I just switched from an early 2019 Model 3 to a 2022.

Here is the list of differences I compiled while deciding if the change would be worthwhile:
  • upgraded to MCU3
  • upgraded to HW3 (after April 2019)
  • basic autopilot included (after April 2019)
  • maximum EPA estimated range improved from 310 to 358 miles
  • matrix LED projector (a.k.a Global) headlights
  • black exterior trim (chrome delete)
  • improved side marker cameras (no light leak to blind camera at night)
  • new center console design
  • heated steering wheel
  • heated wipers
  • heated charge port
  • external speaker (pedestrian sound generator)
  • heat pump
  • climate control passenger detection (closes passenger-side dash vents when seat is unoccupied)
  • redesigned wheels
  • redesigned aero wheel covers
  • power trunk lid
  • trunk seal redesigned
  • metal scrollers on steering wheel
  • wireless phone charging
  • usb-c ports front and rear
  • usb in glovebox for sentry mode/Tesla cam
  • 128GB usb drive included
  • matte interior trim (no piano black)
  • new door latch button icons
  • dashboard trim wraps onto front doors
  • laminated side glass (front only)
  • Li-Ion battery replaces less reliable 12v lead-acid version
  • rear door speaker grills now circular
  • center dash speaker deleted
  • smaller frunk
  • frunk mat no longer included
  • rear deck center grill opening removed (reduces road noise, but also reduces subwoofer volume in cabin)
  • passenger seat lumbar adjustment deleted
  • radar deleted
  • homelink no longer included (separate online purchase ($350 USD) and service appointment required for installation)
  • michelin primacy mxm4 tires revised from T0 to T1 (if equipped - there are some hankook kinergy GTs in the mix)
I should also mention anecdotally that my new Model 3 seems quieter inside - less road and wind noise, and body panel fitment is more precise.
How about updates in the last 18 months. I have 21 ( Feb build) M3LR ( so 21 vs 22):
Upgrades:
1. Ryzen chip
2. Matrix headlights
3. Heater wipers/ charge port
4. Climate control passenger detection ( ?)
5. Li-Ion 12V battery
Downgrades:
1. Radar hardware deleted.
2. No mobile charger included
3. Hankook tires vs Michelin MXM4s
4. Passenger seat lumbar support deleted.

That’s all I can see.
For me the biggest upgrades are the Ryzen chip & Li-on 12v battery. Definitely not worth upgrading for given the downgrades. Also 10k+ MSRP increase compared to early 21s.

Have I got the upgrades right?

There was one more change I did not noticed until recently when I decided to put in my Tesla all-weather floor mats (discontinued 2019 version):
  • deleted plastic dead pedal cover (carpet only)
Kind of a bummer since the original all-weather mats do not cover that area and the newer liners only go halfway up.

The OEM part number for the dead pedal was 1086813-00-E, but it is no longer available.
Aliexpress Model S dead pedal, hacked about 1" off, 2M double sided glued, Lloyd Luxe quarter sinker mats fit perfect, looks cool. Too bad I can't feel my fingers after I erroneously assumed the MS metal accel/brake cover would also slip right on, reapplying the brake pedal cover turned out to be a biaxxx (boiled it in hot water on the kitchen stove, slipped right on).
