Whilst planning a trip to France at the end of May, I checked the cover for my Model S. As required by law, Direct Line provide cover when driving in other parts of the EU but the cover is limited to third party only. To have the same comprehensive cover as in the the UK, I had to buy a foreign use extension, to cover the time I would be in France. (It was £48 for just over one week)
I thought it would be useful to mention this limitation here, for any others insured with Direct Line and considering a trip abroad with their Tesla.
