Tesla is always tweaking their prices. Until a few days ago, I was shocked at how often. Here is a price change history for the Model Y LR:

Very interesting—thanks for sharing this. Any chance you have something similar for the MYP?

The IRS' own website does not clearly articulate when or how the MSRP will be determined. Just sayin I'm not taking any chances on getting burned by a technicality.
“MSRP is the retail price of the automobile suggested by the manufacturer, including options, accessories and trim but excluding destination fees.”
Seems pretty clear to me.

Information from the IRS.Gov website

Does it? Where in that sentence does it say when and how the MSRP is established. Is it a snapshot in time when the calendar year ends, a weighted average of the MSRP throughout the year, the MSRP at purchase agreement, or the MSRP at delivery?

Yes, I read that as well and I may be thick as an ICE brick, but it says including options, technically AP and FSD are options. Technically, there is a MSRP for theses options. Yet FSD can also be added at the flick of a switch. Does color count? Do 20" wheels. I'm just asking where in that listing does it make that clear. I appreciate Tesla's clarification, but let's just say 3 Tesla's in, I've been burned before.

Yes, with just that small $500 increase they eliminated Red, 20" tires on a base white car and they also eliminated the option to add two $1000 upgrades.
So only a white car can get tow. Only a white car can get white seats. If you pick blue, silver or black that is all for options.

Yeah I think the $500 is two fold - demand lever for people on the fence and narrow the types of orders coming in to streamline production further to increase output
