Finally pulled the trigger on the Satin black kit for the X. Probably shouldn't have waited due to the $20 increase

I have gloss black wheels, hopefully this is good look with Satin

Those who have chosen a black color delete, how did you decide between matte, satin, and glossy?

I went with Satin and I love it. I agree with another post, matte is too dull for my taste.

Here's some quick details:

We are using a new automated technique to cut the paper backing into sections. This means you only have to install portions of each piece at a time, reducing the chance of the vinyl material bunching up and making the overall installation easier.

Just got my kit the other day. Decided to install rear window trim today. Love the look so far. Whats the best way to get rid of the line after taking the back white sticker? Didn't use the heat gun yet since I don't have an outlet near me at all. Any tips? Thanks!

Took me about 3-4 hours. Pretty satisfied with it. When standing directly in front, I can see the small creases/imperfections.

Some heat and rubbing will remove any remaining lines

And just finished, took me two days with interruptions.

Overall happy with it, it isn't perfect and I might redo a piece of two, maybe. Would I be happy with the outcome if I had spent $1000, NO.
But for the price of the kit and a couple of days' effort I can live with it!

Thanks! It has been sunny the last couple of days so I have rotated the car so each side has been in the sun. The lines in the wrap, even a couple of the spots I wasn't happy with, kind of self repaired!

4-5 hour job.. mirrors definitely trickier than I anticipated. Heat gun was very handy to have.

Overall very happy with this product!
