I couldn’t find any DIY advice on mounting a radar detector and after owning this car for just 3 days, I know I need one!

Someone gave me this screen mounted phone holder. It came with two arms that hold a phone holder left or right. I took one and cut off the arm then used epoxy resin to connect some anodized steel I had laying around. Angled it to be level, sprayed it black and then used some black Velcro to attach the detector, (it’s the piece with the hole in it in the second picture). I’ll add the wires (suitably hidden) once it’s warmer!

Hope this helps someone.

That's great. Here's another option I use and I love them - got one for the GT-R.

I saw that one when I was looking for ideas but the wire on mine isn't close enough to being able to be hidden from up by the rearview mirror to the 12v outlet and I am not pulling things apart to do a wiretap for now. If I upgrade my detector I might invest in this kind of layout.

Also, mine cost me nothing and right now I am recovering from writing a check for the car so that makes me feel less guilty!
