Do delivery dates change?

HI,

new to the Forum and also will be new to owning a Tesla shortly.

I have a test drive booked in a couple of weeks for a Model Y and looking at ordering before that - just 'explaining' to my wife why we should

Currently on the Tesla site it is showing as December delivery in Ontario.

I want to sell my current car privately and use that as a downpayment and am looking at advertising it towards the end of September. Say it sells in 4 weeks (hopefully quicker) bringing me to the end of October. My worry is that Tesla all of a sudden materialise with my MY in October and I haven't sold my current car yet. What are the chances of that?

I have another car to use for now if I sell and the Tesla isn't ready so no worries there.

Likelier chance your car date gets pushed back rather than pushed up. If you have another car to use even if you sold yours is best case scenario. With used car prices the way they are right now I'd sell your car ASAP.

Thanks. That's what I'm thinking in reality. Now, just to get the wife 100% on board with ordering one before the test drive.....
