Do Referral Supercharger Miles expire?

Hi Folks,
I purchased my Model 3 performance while the 5000 free miles for referral (both referrer and referee) was in place. It took 5 months after delivery, but I have finally been credited my 5000 free supercharger miles. Do these expire?

Yes. After 6 months. But if you get another referral it extends.

Bummer. I hope they at least started the clock when I actually got the miles, not when I tool delivery on the car.

For what is worth, I asked my SA specifically this question. His answer was NO.

Q: Do miles have any expiration date?

A: The miles do not expire.

Maybe he has no idea or maybe miles do not expire....

Service adviser is wrong. The referral miles expire after 6 months from your last referral. A new referral within that 6 month window will extend your entire bank of miles by another 6 months. This is explained somewhere on Tesla's website or perhaps in the app - I forget which.
