Do they fix cars from ev-cpo thru tesla?

I noticed some damage to cars like scratched dash and sometimes wheel curbs. Tesla used to fix these used cars before shipment. Do they not anymore?

If I have questions, how do I contact someone? I never get tesla to call me back, whenever I submit for feedback online.

No they do not. The vehicles are essentially sold as is. I have read of them fixing cosmetic damage if it is not disclosed in the photographs of the vehicle. I believe the buyer asks for a “due bill” with a list of the items to be repaired. I however would not trust anything that is not in writing. I love Tesla, but they have a tendency to make “promises” that disappear into thin air.

No - Tesla no longer has a true CPO program. Pre-owned cars sold through Tesla are now considered used and therefore may contain wear and tear consistent with their age and mileage.

Anything that you can see represented in the photos will not be corrected. Anything that you find on the car that is not represented in the photos *may* be addressed depending on the delivery center.

The month of production on the vin / vehicle information sticker in the photographs. I believe MCU2’s went into the vehicles in mid to late March of 2018. I’d say an April 2018 vehicle would safely have an MCU2. Please double check the date as I’m merely basing it off of what I have read.

How do I determine if the 2018 car has MCU1 or MCU2? Can they tell me or is there a way to determine it?

Look at the build date on the sticker. If viewing the car on Tesla's site there should be a picture of the sticker. If not, the HTML source code has the build date in it. If the build date is April 2018 or later, the car has MCU 2. March 2018 will depend on when in the month the car was built. Prior to that will be MCU 1.

Please let me know if there is a used Tesla specialist I can work with? My understanding is that there is no email distribution you can create so when a car pops up, it notifies you via email.

Does anyone know how far back the “archived listings” are for? I’m looking to see what the price points were for a 2018 black on black six seater and it only shows one in my price range. But I don’t know if that means 30 days ago or 2 months ago etc

If you register on EV-CPO.com for the free two-week trial, you can see the dates the cars in the archive were added and removed (sold). You can add the "Date Added" and "Date Removed" using the column selector.

You can also sign up for email and/or text message alerts when any new cars are added that fit your criteria.

Good luck.

I am logged in ev-CPO but I don’t have the premium subscription. I can’t find the email or text alerts.

Click on the "Subscribe for Premium Access" link. Then sign up for the free two-week trial. Once you've done that, you can save multiple configurations in the "Configuration Garage". Then anytime a new car is added (or price changed), you'll get an email and/or text alert (configurable for each alert).
