Do you eat in your Tesla???

So !'m sitting in traffic going home tonight and notice a Grey Model S 90D next to me. As i pull up admiring the premium rims I see the lady driving eating some kind of SOUP! I'm not kidding, SOUP! She had her spoon out and was going to town on a bowl of soup.

Now, nobody eats anything in my Tesla. No candy, gum or M&M's I don't even pickup food at the drive-thru. As i don't want the fast food smell to embed itself to the interior. Much less soup!! And the potential disaster it could have in stop and go traffic.

I agree with you and share your distaste for eating in the car but not everyone shares our values or concerns and I am not arrogant enough to try and think that my way is the right way.

Hell yeah I eat in the car, what the point of AP if not to be able to eat... But I also work out of my car so Im in it alot!

I ate a salad from Marie Callender's in our Model X on the freeway between Orange County and San Diego about a month ago while driving with Autopilot (2.0). It was liberating and not a single crumb was spilled!

I've only had my S for a week or so, and so far the rule is "NO FOOD". I've picked up food a couple of times and kept it in the frunk. For the record, two large Papa John's pizzas fit nicely up there.

No eating in the car. And I agree with the stench of bringing food in the car.....but it must be brought home. So I seal it and move quickly.

I do have my coffee. Potential disaster spill in car vs Coffee. Coffee wins - unfortunately.

No No foord or drink. Four and 1/2 years. No, nothing. Its all I can do to allow myself to bring groceries home in the back. I've taken myself out back behind the house and counseled myself more than once for even this behavior.

This is a difference between me and my SO. No food in my car. Water is allowed. I end up having to clean melted chocolate, crumbs, and wrappers out of her car. When we take delivery of our model S I’m hoping the enforced charging breaks on long journeys will support the ‘no food’ rule even more. We’ll see.

All food goes in my frunk or not at all. I had a friend ask if I could pick up an order for pizza on my way to his house for some sports game. Turns out he ordered 4 pizzas. As I have the small frunk, the only way to fit them all was vertically, so the pizzas arrived completely messed up. Needless to say, I have not been asked to pick up pizzas since.
