Do you see your wipers from seat?

Just got my 2022 MYP coming from a 2020 LR. On the LR the wiper arms were hidden from view when sitting in the car. On the 2022, the drivers wiper arm and squirter can be seen at the bottom of the windshield. I think I read there was a redesign of the drivers wiper arm at some point since the first builds. Just wanna confirm this is normal.

I have a 2021 MYP built March 2021 and they hide below the hood when not engaged. I do notice they stay up a little higher when in Auto until the car thinks no more rain is coming it will lower back down.

I have a Nov. 2021 Model Y LR, and I can see the wiper arm from the drivers seat. The car has been sitting for 24 hrs in the garage. They were set to automatic, so I turned them off and waited 5 minutes. I could still see it. Also tried carwash mode and still visible.

Part of the passenger side arm is also above the hood.

I wonder if this is another case of an unavailable sensor due to supply chain issues?

I would think this is going to cause more wind noise and drag at highway speeds.

In another thread, I just posted that one of my wiper arms is scraping underneath my frunk. I think it may be preventing the arms from fully retracting. I wonder if yours might be doing the same?

I think this is actually by design. My drivers arm can't be lowered anymore as the tip of the blade is at the very bottom of the windshield. I agree, they moved to an arched arm on this side with a center sprayer that's always visible.
mine isn't visible after I got the replacement but did have to get it adjusted. the new arm in the old notch will show.....needs to be set down a notch

I can see the teeniest bit of the driver side wiper, but no need to adjust it ... just lower your seat!
I agree I could do that but when the wiper is blocking the airflow from hood to windshield that is adding to drag and bad design if it cannot be adjusted. I can’t believe a redesign of the wiper mechanism would not look at airflow, but I can imagine the line worker making a mistake with assembly on the production line.

Here is a picture of the design of the new wiper mechanism note the new flaps flaps attached to the underside of the hood, can’t see information on what they do either. Perhaps this is new on the latest models.
