Not blending being better absolutely makes sense. I suppose I was fooled by the jumps in indicated regen at low speed, which might actually be a mode change or something else, and took the jump from there to assuming there has to be a different blending algorithm than in a hybrid or other brand EV, all of which have had a worse transition to braking in my experience. It figures that the simplest option works the best.
