20 companies will receive a combined $2.8 billion to build and expand commercial-scale facilities in 12 states to extract and process lithium, graphite and other battery materials, manufacture components, and demonstrate new approaches, including manufacturing components from recycled materials.
Federal investment will be matched by recipients to leverage a total of more than $9 billion

Project Description: 6K Inc. plans to demonstrate the ability to domestically produce multiple battery chemistries namely NMC811 and lithium iron phosphate (LFP) in a plant with the capacity of 3,000 tpa (tonnes per annum) ready for production in 2025 scaling to 10,000 tpa in 2026 using its patented 6K’s UniMelt® microwave plasma processing technology. This project will be led by industry veteran Dr. Richard Holman as the principal investigator.

Until the environmentalists block companies from mining. If these companies use processes other than strip mining and not be allowed to contaminate the surrounding area. I would support this program
