Does a leaking stink?

My display started leaking very recently, I have also noticed a foul smell when the car starts up. I am not sure if it's related or just a coincidence.

Has anyone else noticed this before?

I am going to change my cabin air filter and see if that helps

The leak/bubble seems to be getting bigger slowly and I was told my MCU2 upgrade parts will soon arrive (been waiting since my April 4th appointment)..

Is the smell present when you first enter the car with the HVAC system shut off? If it is, then I doubt changing the filter will make a big difference.

If however the smell only occurs after the HVAC start to blow air, then changing the filter may help.

Either way, I hope your MCU2 upgrade parts show up soon. My concern with gel leaking is what's behind the dash that this getting exposed to the leaking gel. Ideal of gel leaking onto other electrical components doesn't sound very good to me.
