Does Airbag Recall / Replacement require software update?

Like the subject says.... Does Airbag Recall / Replacement require software update?

I've been holding on to 8.1 and would rather not be forced to 9.0

Hoping someone who's had this replacement done can answer this question from their experience...

They usually bump my software when I'm in for service. I don't know if it had anything to do with the airbag replacement.

It does not require the updating if the car’s firmware. They just need to configure the car for the airbag.

I’ve had the airbag replaced and also the door handle retrofit from original design to current design that uses a hall sensor instead of micro switches. They did not upgrade the firmware in the car.

my airbag recall was done in January by Tesla mobile service. He did not update firmware after replacing the airbag (was on v9 2018.48.12.1 already)

Get over it. Go buy a car that you know the software will never change.
