Does any one know what this part is?

When my wife pull the M3 off our driveway, I saw this part laying where the car was. I am not sure if it has fallen off the car. Does anyone know what this part is? I look at the bottom and did see any uncover holes...

It appears the part number is at 7 o'clock on the lower pic. It's a Rev C version of the part.
It should be NNNNNNN-SN-S (7 numbers, a Char+number, Char.)

Read me that number, or look in https://epc.tesla.com/#/catalogs which has a search bar for partial PNs

It doesn't appear to be a Tesla PN though.

This is going to be good. If it was a vehicle part, it appears to be something that may be a cover, possibly a strut cover of some sort.

I agree with Efirebarn that it looks like the cover to the sprocket on top of a garage door opener.

I think the dust on the top also points to it being this.

I agree with those above it is the cover for the drive gear on top of garage door opener. I've installed enough to know. Google liftmaster drive gear cover.

Wow, thanks guys. Gotta love the internet and people that helps. I would have never guess its from the garage opener. I lube the chains every few months and never even notice there is a cover.
