Does Connector Button Now Wake Up Car?

No. If you walk up to locked car and hold charge wand button for a couple of seconds the car will wake. Then a second push will unlatch port.

As mentioned earlier, a second press of the button is not necessary to unlatch.

It's my wife 3 but I assume I need the App & bluetooth on me to get the long press to unlatch?

Maybe not for you but for me. May depend on how you do it. After car unlock I release the button per manual. Then press again to unlatch.

You just need the phone key just like a door unlock.

What's really strange about this issue is that if you are using a non-tesla charger the button works and has always worked to unlock the charge port. Sleeping or not.

Example:
I go to my car in the morning. It's asleep plugged into the chargepoint. I hit the button and the car wakes up and will unlatch as long as my phone is on me.

If I am plugged into the Tesla charger I have to push in a door handle to wake the car first.

Tesla charger uses a Bluetooth signal and the chargepoint is using a wired.
