Does locking the car lock the glovebox?

I'm afraid to try this out of fear of going deaf if the alarm goes off inside the car with the volume set to 11 but I was wondering if anyone know whether the glove box is "locked" when the car is locked.

If someone were to break into the car when the car is locked, can then open the glove box with the button or is it locked out until the car is unlocked?

From the Model S Manual:

Note: The glove box locks whenever Model S
is locked externally, using the key or walk-away locking. It also locks when Model S is in
Valet mode (see Valet Mode on page 45). It
does not lock when Model S is locked using
the touchscreen

Try locking your car with the passenger window down. Then reach in and try opening the glove box. Report back.
