Does MCU2 improve audio on an MS with Standard Audio?

I saw a video on youtube where the poster claimed that upgrading to MCU2 greatly improved the sound in his 2016 MS with standard audio. Can anyone confirm this? Im still trying to decide on whether or not to upgrade the speakers in my MS with standard stereo system. If the MCU2 improves the stereo, id much rather go that route.

Subjectivity, I thought that the sound quality improved with my MCU2 upgrade in my 2015 70D. I read somewhere that the codec changed in MCU2. Also check out the threads on setting up the EQ balance when going from MCU1 to MCU2. For me this made a big difference in the sound quality.

It's different, but I wouldn't say it's actually better. It's definitely no replacement for replacement... speakers. MCU2 upgrade is still worth it though.
